Alford Executive Search, has been exclusively retained by Covenant House Missouri (CHMO) in its searches for its next Executive Director and Advancement Director. Covenant House Missouri is an affiliate of Covenant House International, an organization located across North and Central America and which has helped over 1.5 million children and youth transform their lives. CHMO confronts youth homelessness, operates a Transitional Living Shelter and provides an array of supportive services to youth in crisis in the St. Louis area.
The Executive Director will lead Covenant House Missouri forward through change and growth, and will possess demonstrated change and people management skills. The position of Advancement Director is being concurrently sought and it is expected to be timed so that the new Executive Director will participate in the final selection phase. The Advancement Director will bring proven experience in managing and developing a fundraising program focused on revenue growth and diversification.

Some requirements applicable to both roles include:
Passion for the mission of Covenant House Missouri and the people it serves.
For the Executive Director, a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in leadership and management, with documented ability to manage staff and lead teams.
For the Advancement Director, a minimum of five years of progressive fundraising and development experience, preferably with at least three years managing a team of professional fundraising and/or volunteer management staff.
Proven ability to build solid, trusting relationships with donors in all facets of the donor continuum, including government, individual, corporate and foundation donors.
Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors, and a background in building a strong board focused on governance and fundraising.
Bachelor’s degree required; CFRE or advanced degree preferred.
