Communications Lead

Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago (mca.org) is looking for its next marketing and communications lead! We are a tight-knit membership organization based in Burr Ridge that represents more than 300 union contractors who service and install technologically advanced and energy-efficient heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and process piping systems across the region.

Job Summary/General Purpose of Job: Create and execute the Mechanical Contractors Association of Chicago’s marketing and communications efforts that span from social media activity, weekly enews blasts and initiative invitations to promotional items, a quarterly magazine and an annual report.  Serve as a staff ambassador to relevant committees.

Our ideal candidate would have 1-3 years experience and have organizational and copy writing/editing skills. Graphic design experience is also a plus.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure that relevant audiences know of our activities in a timely and engaging way
• Oversee relevant P&L, Budget, and committees
• Foster existing and potential member, school and partner relationships to elevate our reputation and facilitate a pipeline of talent for our members
• Monitor and track marketing and communications performance, revenues, expenses
• Experience with or willingness to learn how to lead a team of freelancers 
• Graphic design and video experience also a plus
• Perform other duties as required
