Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
• 7-10 years progressive development experience, including major and principal gift work. He/she will have demonstrated success in raising six and seven figure gifts, and have in depth knowledge of all aspects of a comprehensive development operation. The ideal candidate will show evidence of setting and achieving goals, and will have a successful track record of working with internal and external constituents, as well as volunteer and committee management.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in academic medical setting and/or complex nonprofit fundraising environment, and experience with capital campaigns and volunteer management.
• A cover letter is required

Computer Skills: 

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment
• Ability to learn fund-raising database; Raiser's Edge experience preferred

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Superior drive, a sense of urgency, and a desire to create and build.
• Strong interest in the advancement of science and medicine.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $139748 - $209622 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
