Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
7-10 years progressive development experience, including major and principal gift work. He/she will have demonstrated success in raising six and seven figure gifts, and have in depth knowledge of all aspects of a comprehensive development operation. The ideal candidate will show evidence of setting and achieving goals, and will have a successful track record of working with internal and external constituents, as well as volunteer and committee management.
Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in academic medical setting and/or complex nonprofit fundraising environment, and experience with capital campaigns and volunteer management.

Ability to learn fund-raising database; Raiser's Edge experience preferred

Ability to clearly present strategic plans and funding priorities of an organization to myriad audiences, both internal and external.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Superior drive, a sense of urgency, and a desire to create and build.
Strong interest in the advancement of science and medicine.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $139748 - $209622 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
