The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 that represents over 111,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia and uniformed services, is seeking a Copy Editor to join our Publications division, located at our Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois – a northwest suburb of Chicago. Reporting to the Associate Director (Managing Editor), the Copy Editor is responsible for copy editing, formatting, and preparing manuscripts for the AVMA’s two scientific journals – the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association (JAVMA) and the American Journal of Veterinary Research (AJVR).
