The Lions Automobilia Foundation Museum is a non-profit corporation founded in December 2019 by Southern California businessman and car enthusiast, Rick Lorenzen. The nearly 100,000 sq. ft. facility not only includes galleries featuring Southern California’s famous car culture and rich motorsports history, but also the largest collection of Willys cars and trucks in North America and the Home of the Spirit of Lions Drag Strip Exhibit.
The Lions Automobilia Foundation - Museum is the Home of the Spirit of Lions Drag Strip featuring a replica of the iconic starting line, staging lanes, and tower. More than a museum, the Lions Automobilia Foundation takes preserving automotive history to the next level with its onsite restoration facility including a custom paint and body department. Our team of talented and veteran restoration experts support the Lions Youth and Career Path Program by providing seminars and workshops to ignite the next generation of builders and designers.
What makes Lions unique is our in house Fab, Paint, Body and Assembly shops that are devoted to maintaining and preserving classic and historical vehicles. Lions Automobilia workshops and seminars demonstrate automotive trades and provide the opportunity to experience a functionating restoration facility. The Lions Automobilia Foundation is proud to support Hot Rodders of Tomorrow, a Nationwide High School Engine Building Competition and host a competition in May at Lions. Lions recently introduced the Spark Plug Challenge, an opportunity for youth visiting Lions to learn how to change a spark plug.

The Lions Automobilia Foundation and Museum is seeking an Administrative Coordinator with a team player attitude and passion for the automotive car culture.
The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for managing and distributing information among co-workers, volunteers, and external clients. The role includes answering phones, emails, writing correspondence, and performing various administrative tasks. The Administrative Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting volunteer teams, and assisting in organizing and overseeing automotive-related events.
The Lions Automobiia Foundation is a 100,000 sq ft museum and the newest automotive venue in Southern California. Lions is quickly becoming sought after for private, corporate and charitable events. This position will require a floating schedule depending on booked events. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for assisting clients prior and during events.
Responsibilities:
Organize and schedule appointments, meetings, and events (including onsite car shows and venue rentals).
Take detailed notes during volunteer meetings and subcommittee meetings.
Provide support to subcommittee leaders, assisting with planning and coordination.
Track, schedule, and assign tasks to volunteers.
Manage the Gift Store, including inventory tracking and organization.
Handle clerical tasks such as filing, accounting, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Greet and assist visitors and clients attending the venue.
Assist clients with private, corporate and charitable event organization.
Provide administrative support across various departments such as Lions, Body Shop, Paint, Fabrication, and Assembly, as needed.
Assist with miscellaneous office tasks as required to support the organization’s goals.
Experience and Skills Required
Experience: Administrative coordinating: 2 years (Required)
High school diploma required, associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Previous administrative or office management experience, ideally in an automotive or motorsport-related environment.
Work Overtime as needed during the workweek and weekend for events and event planning.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to take detailed meeting notes and maintain accurate records.
Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, etc.).
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Event planning experience is a plus.
A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Interest or background in the automotive/motorsport industry is encouraged.
QuickBooks or POS Software experience (Preferred).
Physical Requirements:
Lift between 5-50 lbs.
Walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
Operate office equipment including use of a computer keyboard. An ability to verbally communicate to exchange information; and operate office equipment.
