The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission is seeking an experienced individual to lead administrative and scale house operations at the Black Hawk County landfill facility. The Office Manager’s role is central to keeping daily operations running smoothly and supports staff, customers, and leadership through strong organization, communication, and attention to detail. The Office Manager works closely with operations staff while managing administrative, financial, and human resources coordination functions.

About Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission

Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission is an inter-governmental agency organized under Iowa Code Chapter 28E. The Commission’s charge is to manage solid waste generated within its service area, which includes the municipalities and the rural population within Black Hawk county. Contractual agreements are in place to provide services to Bremer, Buchanan, Fayette and Grundy counties, known as the INRCOG Solid Waste Comprehensive Planning Area. The Commission owns and oversees the Black Hawk County Landfill and provides household hazardous waste collection and education and outreach services to the County.
